Why Is MYOB So Slow: Episode Two, the Network Menace
Last week, I offered a few tips about unclogging your print queues to give your MYOB data file a spring clean and improve speed.
While this is an MYOB truth, it is far from the whole truth, and I would hate to cause any of our dedicated blog followers frustration. I hear you cry: “I’ve cleared my print queues, and I still wait 5 minutes for a report to load! What else can I do?”

Why is MYOB so slow?
It could be clogged.
Keep the size of your MYOB database as small as possible by clearing print queues regularly, and setting default preferences.
As a software program, MYOB is determined to have the user print the equivalent of a small forest in remittances, cheques and orders. In furtherance of this goal, your software keeps all such documents in a print queue until they have been removed – making your database bigger (read, slower) than it needs to be.
